Instance
RCP can connect within the same interface with multiple instances (databases). The user must define which instance to connect to when logging into RCP.
Permissions
RCP offers a set of user profiles. A user may have different profiles for each instance. During the RCP installation a list of available profiles will be provided.
Within RCP, the user name is always visible during the session:
Connect to RCP
The authentication is configured during the RCP installation. In windows authentication mode the user is automatically identified and connected.
In Windows authentication mode, the user has to enter user name and password to sign into RCP.
Entity
The Users must be assigned to one or multiple entities. For each entity the user rights can be different.
Office
An Entity may have several offices.
The office and the entity can be selected in RCP below the user name Within RCP the user name.
